Art Portfolio Two - Curious Creatures, Initial Idea 2
How will we look like in the future? It is interesting to think about all the different possibilities to how people's physical appearance will evolve into. Researchers in advanced biology and scientists of genetics taught us that we have developed over time by having mutant biochemical and physical changes that made us increasingly adaptable to external threats in the environment, and that have ensured our survival. What if we face new threats that need adapting to, like climate breakdown or interstellar travel. Will our skin harden? Will we become bigger and faster? Could we adapt to survive under water or in space? Or will we develop technologies that help us become all these things at once and allow us to add upgrades to our bodies?
I am interested in how our future physical appearances will be. Using my imagination I will explore a few of those variants in a gallery of five artworks. Four different creature designs will be either painted on canvas or created digitally. And one 3D creature, a bust or statue made from terracotta clay or wood.

It is best to try and avoid pinterest as a reference and find the original artwork or image from the original source. Again this is an interesting idea and you could look at abstract or surrealist art like Dali and some of his curious creatures as part of your research.
